[REVIEW] Travel Photoshoot with Sweet Escape in Marrakech, Morocco

Travel has always been such a big part of me. Like, if I don’t travel for 6 months, i think i would fall sick lol.

When i’m travelling, i have the habit of taking loads of pictures, well, because memories fade but pictures dont. And although i do have a fairly good camera, I dont get to take pictures with Tyrell, because he is usually the one behind the lens. Thats where i decided that i would like to try out a travel photoshoot!

My 10 step korean skincare routine (free of: parabens, phenoxyethanol, silicones, sulfates, alcohol, mineral oil) 2017

If you have read my previous article, you will know that I did a massive disposal of my skincare when I found out that they contained harsh ingredients that are not so good for our skin like; parabens, sulfates, alcohol, mineral oil, phenoxyethanol and silicones.

My previous 2016 post here:

My 10 step korean skincare routine (free of: parabens, phenoxyethanol, silicones, sulfates, alcohol, mineral oil)

I am so glad that us consumers are becoming more and more savvy about the skincare products that we purchase these days and we are starting to look into product ingredients carefully before purchasing.

I have only been using clean products that are free of parabens, phenoxyethanol, mineral oils, alcohol, silicones (really hard to avoid in moisturisers), sulfates, and etc. I am happy to say that my skin is really stable now vs its previous erratic self. Although I might get the occasional pimple from having too much chocolate, it has never been better in my life!

Searching for products that are free of the list of ingredients above hasn’t been easy. Products that label themselves as ‘paraben free’ may sometimes still contain phenoxyethanol. And it is super hard to find moisturisers that do not contain silicones.

After much searching, here is my 2nd compiled multi step Korean skincare routine!

Stay in a Lava Cave with Private Cave Pool in Oia, Santorini | Greece | 2017 | Review |

Stay in a Lava Cave with Private Cave Pool in Oia, Santorini | Greece | 2017 | Review |

It took me some time to finally choose a hotel because, although quite a few hotels have really nice infinity pools, these are usually public pools. Also, most of the private pools end up being a Jacuzzi tub instead of an actual pool. After searching through numerous hotels, we finally found an accommodation that had a private pool. And what’s more, the private pool was a CAVE POOL.

I loved the lava cave so much that I figured I just had to have a blog post solely for the lava cave.

Review: Wedding banquet at the Fullerton hotel Singapore

Review: Wedding banquet at the Fullerton hotel Singapore

Choosing the right venue for a wedding banquet is a longgggg gruelling process and these days, the venues are booked up even 1 year in advance. With the numerous hotels and restaurants available, where does one even start to search?

Good food is an important criteria as the older folks tend to be quite particular about it since they would have attended 9572947 number of wedding banquets throughout their entire life.

We were actually already enquiring with the Fullerton on their availability and they informed us that they would be having a wedding roadshow with extra offers, so we jumped on that and purchased our package at the wedding roadshow.

We were also delighted to know that the Fullerton ballroom underwent renovations at the end of 2016 / beginning of 2017. The ceiling is now entirely filled with chandelier lights. Would you just look at this grandeur !

Israel: How to enjoy the Dead Sea like a pro

Israel: How to enjoy the Dead Sea like a pro

I’ve always remembered reading about the dead sea as a kid and was intrigued at how people could possibly float in such a salt lake. To finally get the chance to experience floating in the waters of the dead sea for real is just mind blowing!

Some of my my friends asked me “Has anyone drowned in the dead sea before?”. Well, I tried very hard to sink myself in the dead sea, but i kept bobbing back up. I’d say yes, it’s impossible to sink, not drown. Because technically, if you float with your face down, you will drown lol!

I literally couldn’t find any sand at the bottom of the sea. Everything that I scooped up was salt. Mega cool!!!

A rather sad piece of information is that the waters are receding by a meter each year and by 2050 it will be completely extinct 😦

The dead sea borders Jordan to the east and Israel to the west and you can visit from both countries. I visited the dead sea from Israel and here’s some tips on how you can enjoy the dead sea like a pro with 1 night:

Beauty review: PINK CONTACT LENS! RevoColour Romantic in Peach Pink

So… I randomly decided to try out pink contact lens because I was getting bored of the typical natural shades of grey, hazel and brown. I chose RevoColour Romantic because their pink lens had more than just pink, it graduates to a hazel shade that I feel will make my natural brown iris blend in better with the pink lens.

Quick guide to crossing the border to Aqaba, Jordan from Eilat, Israel 2016 via the South Wadi Araba crossing aka the Yitzhak Rabin border terminal

Quick guide to crossing the border to Aqaba, Jordan from Eilat, Israel 2016 via the South Wadi Araba crossing aka the Yitzhak Rabin border terminal

The South Wadi Araba crossing aka the Yitzhak Rabin border terminal is one of 3 border crossings between Israel and Jordan and it is located at the southern tip of Israel. It is a great choice for tourists looking to tour Petra and Wadi Rum, as the south Wadi Araba crossing is the closest border crossing to these 2 attractions.

However, the complexity of crossing the South Wadi Araba border has thrown many tourists off planning free and easy trips to Jordan. Much of the complexity comes from the Jordanian customs due to the different fees and procedures. Many tourists opt for Jordan tours that are from Israel and they assist you to cross the border, but if you are able to cross the border on your own and tour Jordan free and easy, you will be able to save quite a fair bit of tour money.

Here is a quick guide on what you will need to do, what documents to keep and how much money you will need for crossing the south Wadi Araba crossing. (Note that this guide excludes visa applications)

Korea: Behind the scenes of a pre-wedding photoshoot at Bong Studio

Korea: Behind the scenes of a pre-wedding photoshoot at Bong Studio

I will have to say that Tyrell and I took a leap of faith signing up for a pre-wedding photoshoot package with a foreign company, without knowing much about the detailed process, nor meeting any representatives face to face. All communication was done via email only. We weren’t able to find any blog posts or information online about the actual process, but we jumped into it, which is not something we usually do. All I can say is that we have good faith in Korean studios XD

Here’s what you need to know and what it’s like to fly overseas and have a pre-wedding photoshoot with local Korean photo Studio, Studio Bong.

What NO ONE TELLS YOU about how to pick a pre-wedding photography package in Korea

What NO ONE TELLS YOU about how to pick a pre-wedding photography package in Korea

Searching for a wedding photography package can be a rather grueling one. First of all, you need to decide on the country; should you take it locally or overseas? If overseas, which country? Should you fly a photographer overseas or engage a local? And then you need to know what to look out for when negotiating the package.
I think I’m going to get a lot of hate from the agents, but ah well, here goes. Here’s what nobody tells you about how to book a Korean wedding photography package in Korea.
