Choosing the right venue for a wedding banquet is a longgggg gruelling process and these days, the venues are booked up even 1 year in advance. With the numerous hotels and restaurants available, where does one even start to search?

Good food is an important criteria as the older folks tend to be quite particular about it since they would have attended 9572947 number of wedding banquets throughout their entire life.

We were actually already enquiring with the Fullerton on their availability and they informed us that they would be having a wedding roadshow with extra offers, so we jumped on that and purchased our package at the wedding roadshow.

We were also delighted to know that the Fullerton ballroom underwent renovations at the end of 2016 / beginning of 2017. The ceiling is now entirely filled with chandelier lights. Would you just look at this grandeur !

What we were provided with :

  1. Complimentary 15 bottles of wine
  2. 50% discount off wine and beer purchased at the Fullerton.
  3. Commentary champagne for the champagne pouring.
  4. Complimentary 2 nights stay at the palladium suites in the Fullerton Hotel

  6. Day use room till 3pm on actual day

*Most of these came with a few different choices for us to choose from.

  2. Tasting session complimentary for 10 pax
  3. Wedding planning meeting

Wedding Planning Meeting:

We literally didn’t have to do any planning of the agenda. Our wedding planner had all of the templates and asked us what we preferred during the meet up, and on the actual day we had a wedding coordinator that would cue us and guide us before each activity. No stress at all

Checking into the Fullerton hotel

The Fullerton hotel called us to tell us to call them 10mins before arriving and they will station someone at the entrance to help with our bags and bring us up.

We arrive at our palladium suite (complimentary for booking our wedding banquet with them) and are blown away! Just check out what the Fullerton prepared for us.

A welcome card and champagne!

Bed decor checked!

Bathrobes with our names embroidered for us to take home !

Even a certificate

Pillow menu… Say what?

We are allowed to order pillows of our choice and this service is complimentary! So many types to choose from. This so so awesome because I somehow can’t sleep well on very soft pillows and I could order a firm one from this menu.

Extremely gorgeous view of MBS from our room

Bathtub to relax our tired bones after the wedding banquet

We are given access to the straits club which comes with so many VIP benefits.

Never gonna go hungry with complimentary champagne breakfast, afternoon high tea and evening canapes and cocktails here at the club lounge

We are also given $100 credits to use for room service, which we very happily used up on our first night.

And we are also given a 60min aromatherapy spa treatment ! Which was perfect for us especially after the hectic wedding banquet.

Post Banquet

We were dead tired after the banquet so our coordinator graciously followed us back to our hotel room to settle the bill using multiple credit cards.

They also delivered our banquet lunch up to our room after the wedding was over, along with the extra alcohol. Really do appreciate this cause we were famished. The rice with lapchiong is super yummy.

Overall:

Wow we really did feel like VIPs  / Kings and Queens for the weekend. The Fullerton provided for us way above our expectation. I’m thinking real hard on what I didn’t like about the Fullerton, but there is nothing I can complain about. Maybe just the flight of stairs for the march in.

The staff are also very proactive in setting up our meetings and getting things settled. Sometimes we forgot to respond because we were quite busy but luckily they reminded us.

And the food! The suckling pig was meh, but the rest were great. The chicken soup and rice with lapchiong were so amazing. MUST order these 2!

Vendors used:

So in case you guys were wondering, here’s the list of vendors that we engaged for our wedding.
