[REVIEW] Althea Beauty Box – Bbo Song aka Baby Soft Skin

[REVIEW] Althea Beauty Box – Bbo Song aka Baby Soft Skin

I’ve always been so envious of South Koreans for their smooth flawless skin! I aspire to have my skin as flawless as theirs but the humid weather in SG only amplifies my pores and oil production, especially the area around my nose! Luckily, Althea has sent over their Bbo Song Beauty Box to save me of pores and greasy oily skin.

Wait, but first, what’s Althea?

Althea is a leading KBeauty site with over 150 Korean beauty brands on board!

The Althea Box

It is Althea’s line of limited edition beauty boxes, specially curated by the fairy team in Seoul. The boxes are based on specific themes and each box can hold anywhere from 6 – 12 full-size products depending on the theme and value.

Althea releases 2 Althea Boxes every month. But the downside is these beauty boxes are limited in quantity (while stocks last) on a first come first serve basis. The Althea Box is a hit among fans and gets sold out really quick.

[REVIEW] Creme Simon – New range of Supplements Les Remedes 2017

[REVIEW] Creme Simon – New range of Supplements Les Remedes 2017

I recently had the opportunity to attend the launch of the brand new Creme Simon Supplements Les Remedes and i liked the supplements so much that I decided to do a blog post on it 🙂

But first, I know you’re wondering..

What is Creme Simon?

Made in 1860. Made in France.

Founded by Joseph Simon, a visionary pharmacist at the end of the XIX century since 1860, the brand understands the fact that skin, beauty and health are part of a whole, and that skincare has its limits.

Creme Simon Teas & Supplements

But skincare is only cosmetic. Diet, stress, sleep, hormones, pollution and lifestyle choices all have an accumulated impact on the skin we have.  Because the health of your skin is a reflection of your global physical and psychological health, they have also developed nutritional complementary solutions to sustain a holistic approach to beauty. From organic diabetic-friendly detoxifying teas free of caffeine, added sugar, flavourings and colourings, to preservative-free, antioxidant-rich natural supplements suitable for vegans, they believe the beauty of your skin relies on your global physical and psychological health. Because how we feel, what we do, affect how we feel and look on the outside.

Creme Simon Supplements Les Remedes

Their supplements contain 0% fillers, preservatives, colorings, allergans, gluten, bovine, lactose, sodium, hormones and GMOs. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

We will deep dive into the 3 brand new supplements here!

  1. Rest – for Restful Sleep & Jet Lags
  2. Beauty – Anti-Oxidant Rich Supplement for Skin, Hair & Nails
  3. Feel – Daily Multivitamin for Mental Alertness & Energy

Sounds like i need all 3 of them as i have been having trouble sleeping at night, and in the day i feel really lethargic. and of course beauty, to fight the signs of aging.

[REVIEW] Amara Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand

[REVIEW] Amara Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand

Bangkok has always been one of those mandatory “Once a year getaways” for shopping (stocking up on clothes for the year), eating and partying. Plus, you wont feel like you’ve burnt a big hole in your pocket because you can get so much bang for your buck due to the favorable exchange rate.

One of the most important things to do in preparation for bangkok, is to book a nice hotel, because, it wont cost you a fortune to live like a king in a nice hotel. I chose Amara Hotel in Bangkok because they have a club lounge with club memberships, and also because I wanted some instaworthy pictures of their infinity pool.

I would like to thank Amara Hotel, Bangkok for giving me the opportunity to stay at their hotel in their club room.

[Review] Gelish Manicure with Nail Art by Niu Nails, a home based salon

It’s that time again where I’m caught taking photos of handheld items with bare and unkempt nails. Yeah, I am in dire need of a gelish manicure.

I did some research online and came across Niu Nails, a home based salon. I was quite impressed with their nail art portfolio and they had many good reviews so I decided to try them out.

It’s my first time having my nails done at a home based salon!

[BEAUTY REVIEW] Labottach V-up, T-zone & eye patch from Korea

[BEAUTY REVIEW] Labottach V-up, T-zone & eye patch from Korea

Recently entering the shores of Singapore is Labottach, a pharmaceutical and cosmetics company from Korea! Although they are new to Singapore, they are not new to the skincare world.

WooShin Labottach was first established in 1992 in Korea and has been focusing on research and developing pharmaceutical and cosmetic products over the past 20 years. After successfully exported their products to Europe, Korea, China, Taiwan, they are now launching their products in Singapore!

Labottach Skincare:

  • Exclusive Innovated material and formulation with our own R&D Center
  • Dermatologist tested in Germany (suitable for sensitive skin & prenant woman)
  • Products are clinically proven effective

I was really intrigued by Labottach’s skin care products as, in comparison to the typical sheet mask that lasts for just 20mins, they last for 6 – 8 hours. Also, all the ingredients that they use are free of parabens, phenoxyethanol, silicones, sulfates, alcohol, mineral oil.

[REVIEW] Sombre + Balayage Hair Color at Kenjo Salon

[REVIEW] Sombre + Balayage Hair Color at Kenjo Salon

Very desperately in need of a root touch up as well as toning my bright yellow hair color down, I decided to try out a new salon, Kenjo hair salon, after reading many good reviews on them. They are located conveniently at Plaza Singapura too!

Kenjo Hair Salon

Kenjo hair salon is a korean salon with a combination of stylists from Taiwan, SG and Korea.

Check out my regrowth! The lighter parts were from lightening my hair in Feb and the medium brown was from the pudding hair dye done end of April. I have about 3.5mths of black regrowth.

I wanted to do an ash shade to tone down the yellow from my hair as well as try out pastel highlights cause they’re so trendy right now!

Review: Wedding Solemisation & Wedding Dinner at The White Rabbit

Review: Wedding Solemisation & Wedding Dinner at The White Rabbit

If you’re thinking of holding your wedding at the White rabbit, the most important thing you need to know is that the White Rabbit does not provide a wedding planner (vs holding a wedding in a hotel where a wedding planner is quite commonly offered). What this means is that you will need to engage a wedding planner or get one of your bridesmaids or groomsmen to be the wedding planner. Another difference is that certain items like decor, projectors, etc, are also not provided at the White Rabbit.

However, that said, I still went ahead with the white rabbit because I really love their chapel like building and whimsical little garden. I’ve always dreamed of having a garden wedding!
