Guide the Shipwreck Beach, Navagio in Zakynthos and the Secret Viewing Point | Greece | 2017 |

If you’re Asian and have not heard of Descendants of the Sun, then, well, you CANT BE ASIAN. Descendants of the Sun is the Korean drama that took over Asia by storm in 2016. It received immense popularity both locally as well as internationally, where it has been sold to 32 countries and translated into 32 different languages.

The drama’s success helped boost Korea’s economy, contributing in a rise of tourists, overseas sales of products featured in the drama; and more investment in Korean entertainment companies by Chinese companies seeking partnerships. Descendants of the Sun has been reported to have earned 3 billion won from product placement advertisements (PPL) and 10 billion won from sales of related sound tracks and video-on-demand service. The “Two Tone Lip Bar” lipstick that Song Hye-Kyo wore in a scene on the show has broken sales records for Aritaum in South Korea.

Of the numerous filming locations around different parts of Greece, the shipwreck cove (aka Navagio Beach) in Zakynthos is the most outstanding one, and for a reason too. On top of being the star location of Descendants of the Sun, the shipwreck cove is actually also the most famous and most photographed beach in Greece!

Review: Wedding banquet at the Fullerton hotel Singapore

Review: Wedding banquet at the Fullerton hotel Singapore

Choosing the right venue for a wedding banquet is a longgggg gruelling process and these days, the venues are booked up even 1 year in advance. With the numerous hotels and restaurants available, where does one even start to search?

Good food is an important criteria as the older folks tend to be quite particular about it since they would have attended 9572947 number of wedding banquets throughout their entire life.

We were actually already enquiring with the Fullerton on their availability and they informed us that they would be having a wedding roadshow with extra offers, so we jumped on that and purchased our package at the wedding roadshow.

We were also delighted to know that the Fullerton ballroom underwent renovations at the end of 2016 / beginning of 2017. The ceiling is now entirely filled with chandelier lights. Would you just look at this grandeur !

Korea: Quick guide to claiming your tax refund at Incheon airport 2017

Claiming your tax refund in Korea has become even simplier than it was a year back because now, most shops offer IMMEDIATE tax refund on the spot, so you need not haggle around with a mountain of tax refund slips.

Your receipt will state very clearly “Immediate tax refund”

Remember to bring along your passport with you when you’re shopping to get the immediate tax refund. Otherwise, remember to request for the tax refund slips.

However, there are still shops that don’t provide immediate tax refund, so here’s what you need to do to get your tax refund.

Israel: How to enjoy the Dead Sea like a pro

Israel: How to enjoy the Dead Sea like a pro

I’ve always remembered reading about the dead sea as a kid and was intrigued at how people could possibly float in such a salt lake. To finally get the chance to experience floating in the waters of the dead sea for real is just mind blowing!

Some of my my friends asked me “Has anyone drowned in the dead sea before?”. Well, I tried very hard to sink myself in the dead sea, but i kept bobbing back up. I’d say yes, it’s impossible to sink, not drown. Because technically, if you float with your face down, you will drown lol!

I literally couldn’t find any sand at the bottom of the sea. Everything that I scooped up was salt. Mega cool!!!

A rather sad piece of information is that the waters are receding by a meter each year and by 2050 it will be completely extinct 😦

The dead sea borders Jordan to the east and Israel to the west and you can visit from both countries. I visited the dead sea from Israel and here’s some tips on how you can enjoy the dead sea like a pro with 1 night:
